March 18, 2012 –  A woman who was paralyzed from the chest down in a horseback riding accident in 2007 completed the London Marathon with the help of a $75,000 bionic suit. Claire Lomas started the race along with 35,000 other people on April 22 and crossed the finish line 16 days later. The marathon is 42 kilometres (26.2 miles) long.
