May 21, 2010 - Researchers in the rain forests of the Foja Mountains on the island of New Guinea, called the "Lost World", have discovered at least a dozen new species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects and birds. They found a tree-frog with a nose like Pinocchio, by accident, when it hopped into the camp kitchen set up for researchers, and perched itself on a bag of rice. Its nose points upwards only when it is calling. Researchers also discovered what is believed to be the world's smallest wallaby. Click here to learn more.
